Reflections

We're about two weeks removed from the residential at Glencree and I thought it was timely to reflect briefly on my own experiences of the training before posting an email to you all with the resources that I promised.

For me, the best part of the residential was the discussion we had while looking at the different impacts of HIV and AIDS. The scope of the issue was clear to see and I don't think we covered absolutely everything but it was nonetheless important to look beyond the immediate and to the wider consequences of this global problem.

I liked also how this fed nicely into the "cycle" exercise. This, I thought provoked some of the best debate and saw some intriguing interventions being thought out to break what might have previously been seen as an inevitable decline.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you all in Ireland and hope that I can see you again soon. As for the resources, I'm currently bodding around with a folder zipper thingy to send it all together rather than in little bits!

What are your thoughts now that some days have passed?
